GENERAL LANDSCAPING WILL BE SPRAYING FOR NUTSEDGE GRASS (WEED) NEXT WEEK.
Nutsedge is a perennial sedge that thrives in wet, poorly drained soil. It has shiny, triangular-shaped blades that grow faster than surrounding grass. The plant spreads via an interconnected network of underground roots and tubers (nutlets), meaning any severed root will regenerate. Eradicating an infestation often requires multiple treatments over a few seasons to exhaust the tubers’ energy reserves.
